Thieves have been getting away with money and electronics from unlocked vehicles in Whitehall and Baldwin, police said.

Officers are urging residents to lock their cars and remove coins, phones, laptops, purses, iPods and anything of value.

Whitehall police on Nov. 10 posted to social media that officers from both departments had responded to numerous thefts from vehicles that were not locked.

The thefts occurred overnight, likely between 1 and 4 a.m. Vehicles were targeted in the area of Stilley and Doyle roads.

Suspects got away with money and electronics.

In one case, a Ring video doorbell caught three suspects on camera entering a car parked in a driveway. The trio rummaged through the console, checked behind the visors and in the door pockets for valuables.

It is unclear what was taken but they were caught on video walking away with items from the car.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to call Whitehall police at 412-884-1100.
