Shooting wounds 2 juveniles in Pittsburgh's Hill District
Two juveniles were in stable condition after a shooting Sunday evening in Pittsburgh’s Hill District.
Both boys, the victims were taken by medics to separate area hospitals for treatment, according to a city Public Safety spokeswoman.
City police responded to a six-round ShotSpotter alert shortly before 8 p.m. in the 300 block of Elmore Street. The boys were found nearby, in the 2000 block of Reed Street.
One suffered a graze wound to the head and the other was shot in the hand and leg, the spokeswoman said. Officers provided them with first aid until medics arrived.
The Pittsburgh Police Mobile Crime Unit arrived to process evidence. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
