The Sewickley Music Club is excited about its next musical program of the 2025-2026 season. The Nov. 11 musical program, entitled “Strings Attached,” will be performed by Collin Yates (guitar and vocals) and Kamilah Lay (violin and vocals).

They’re often referred to as the “oldies” these days, but Collin Yates and Kamilah Lay believe the songs written in the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s are foundational, and quite simply, the best of music.

From the birth of rock ‘n’ roll with its roots in country, gospel, and R&B, to the poetic lyricism and timeless melodies of the singer-songwriter era, attendees will hear the classics performed acoustically. The duo has performed together across the country since 2022.

Lay is a singer, actor and violinist from Milwaukee, Wis. Yates is a singer, actor and multi-instrumentalist from Raleigh, N.C. Both are Resident Artists at Pittsburgh Musical Theater.”

The Club members will meet for their second tea and program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Sewickley United Methodist Church, 337 Broad St.

Information on The Sewickley Music Club membership can be found on The Club’s Facebook page or by calling Donna Pavlis, publicity/marketing, at 412-498-6352.
