In Quaker Valley School District, students in kindergarten through ninth grade started school on Aug. 25, while grades 10-12 started on Aug. 26.
“At Quaker Valley, we are very excited about returning to five days a week in-person learning,” said Tammy Andreyko, district superintendent. “We have one-to-one devices for all students in grades K-12, which is a tremendous asset in our instructional toolbelt. We are looking forward to all the things fall brings, including fall sports, activities, homecoming, school picture day, and all the excitement that comes with a new school year. We will also continue to gather input from the community about our high school project. It is certainly an exciting time for Quaker Valley!”
The district’s health and safety plan requires that all students, staff and visitors wear masks while at any of the district’s campuses. The board and the administration said they will revisit the plan and corresponding procedures and protocols frequently to respond to the ever-changing conditions of the pandemic.
