On Jan. 18, our home on Centennial Avenue caught fire. We would like to thank Cochran Hose Company and all the other fire departments that responded. The firefighters bravely ran into our home that was actively burning and billowing black smoke. They not only put out the fire but also tried to save our valuables when they could.

We also want to thank our neighbors and friends and people we don’t even know that helped us on that terrible day.

The outpouring of love and support and generosity from this community has been truly astounding. We chose to buy a house in Sewickley 25 years ago and after this, we cannot imagine living anywhere else. We will rebuild our home and continue to be part of this very special community for hopefully at least another 25 years!
