Leetsdale council president Patricia Lee has resigned from her leadership role.

Lee said professional and additional personal responsibilities have caused her to relinquish her appointed position and devote more time to other issues. She will remain a council member.

Maria Napolitano was appointed new council president. Osman Awad was named vice president.

The moves were made at the May 11 council meeting. They were not listed on the meeting agenda that was posted to the borough website, leetsdaleboro.net, prior to the meeting and as of May 24.
