Edgeworth police are trying to find two individuals in connection with a recent incident outside the police station.

Chief John Burlett said officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of Beaver and Chestnut roads around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17.

A Chrysler 200 four-door sedan was being operated with an expired inspection sticker, the chief said.

Three occupants inside the vehicle fled the scene.

Borough police gave chase and requested assistance from nearby departments. Search assistance included a drone from Moon Township and a K-9 unit from Beaver County Sheriff’s Office.

Burlett said one runner, a 23-year-old man, was apprehended while attempting to escape on a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus at Shields Lane and Beaver Road.

The other two individuals are also men believed to be in their 20s. All were wearing black clothing.

Burlett said drugs were recovered from the suspects’ car. However, no charges have been filed yet.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Edgeworth police at 412-741-9401.
