Each year, the Sewickley YMCA invites underprivileged families to pick up free Christmas gifts for their children.

For the past several years, Doric Lodge #630 has raised money and purchased presents to support the event. In a continuing effort to present Masonry in a positive light in the community, the members and friends of Doric Lodge #630 have been very busy raising more than $9,000 with raffle ticket sales and donations.

“We are very fortunate to have volunteers like Erinn Orlandini and her friends Kristina and her daughter Samantha Uhler,” said William Bittinger, chairman of the activity committee at the Doric Lodge #630. “They purchased various toys and gifts with our donations. Because of their time and endless efforts, we provided bicycles, roller blades, scooters, building blocks, balls, bats, books, puzzles, games, gloves, hats, coats, socks and much more.”

More than 160 families received gifts Dec. 12.
