Children's book club, March mystery box and more at Sewickley Public Library
Sewickley Public Library, 500 Thorn St., is again offering express library services.
The Express Library gives users a chance to come into the library to browse the collection, check out items and use the public computers. The library is taking precautions to ensure the safety of library staff and patrons, including requiring masks for all patrons, increasing cleaning and sanitizing of highly used areas, offering hours for high-risk individuals and limiting visit times.
Curbside pickup is still available.
For the latest updates or to register for virtual events, call 412-741-6920 or visit sewickleylibrary.org.
Children’s Book Club: Battle Edition
Join the library’s new children’s Zoom book club. It’s Battle of the Books season, and the book club is getting into the fun. On Feb. 23 at 4:30 p.m., join other fourth and fifth graders who are participating in Battle of the Books Bingo to discuss the best books participants have read so far, and any suggestions for other books to read to help earn that Bingo. Please register. Grades 3-5.
March Mystery Madness
Sign up to receive a box full of surprises. Tell the library a little about what you like and you’ll receive two books and one film from the library’s collection – plus fun items to keep. Sign up to receive yours at www.tiny.cc/marchsurprise box. Open to all.
Video Book Reviews
Each Sunday at noon, a new video is uploaded to the library’s YouTube channel featuring book reviews and discussions from its reference librarians.
Winter Fun Craft To-Go Kits
Stop by the curbside table at the library’s rear entrance to pick up a special Winter Fun themed Craft To-Go Kit! Supplies and instructions are included. Kits are available while supplies last: first come, first serve.
