A woman sought in the fatal Easter Sunday shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Wilkinsburg is now in jail.
Alicia Johnson turned herself in Wednesday night at Pittsburgh’s Zone 5 police station in Highland Park, police confirmed Friday.
Johnson and Kira Jackson, both 23 and from Pittsburgh, are each charged with homicide in the slaying of Kevin Wilson.
A witness in the case, who was not identified, learned that the women planned to shoot up the witness’s house on Hill Avenue on Sunday night, according to a complaint in the case.
Jackson, of the West End, and Johnson, of East Hills, appeared at the house around 10 p.m. Sunday alongside men armed with baseball bats, the complaint said.
A fight broke out between the group and the witness’s cousin, according to the complaint.
Both women fired in the witness’s direction, the witness told police.
Police said a bullet struck Kevin in the chest. The teen had been standing outside on Hill Avenue and wasn’t involved in the melee, according to police.
Kevin died soon after at a hospital.
Jackson was also arrested Wednesday.
Allegheny County Police have charged both women with criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and carrying a firearm without a license.
Both women are in the Allegheny County Jail without bail.
A preliminary hearing for them is scheduled for April 19.
