The Rivers Casino’s The Landing Hotel is now taking room reservations in advance of its upcoming opening.

The official opening date has yet to be announced, Rivers Casino spokesman Jack Horner said, but the hotel’s website is now accepting reservations beginning Oct. 11.

The seven-story, 219-room hotel will connect directly to the casino. Rivers Casino initially got approval from the Planning Commission to build the $60 million hotel in 2017.

On its website, the hotel boasts free valet parking and free breakfast, as well as panoramic views of Pittsburgh’s skyline and the Ohio River. The hotel also advertises room service, live entertainment and complimentary internet access. A fitness center and hotel marketplace are expected to be added.

The hotel has a variety of rooms and suites, ranging from standard rooms with king or queen beds to 1,400-square-foot, two-bedroom suites.

This will make Pittsburgh the second Rivers Casino location to have The Landing Hotel. The first opened in Schenectady, N.Y. as part of a casino complex there.
