Supporters of President Donald Trump who left their cars at a Butler mall to travel by bus to Washington, D.C. returned to find their tires slashed, according to police.

Tires on 20 vehicles were found damaged Wednesday morning at Clearview Mall in Center Township, state police said.

Parents told Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV that some of the cars were parked there by teens, who went to join the protest that descended into chaos at the Capitol and delayed, but did not prevent, the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

“I definitely think it was a targeted attack,” Rob Singer told WPXI. “It’s ridiculous what’s happening here.”

State police were investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-284-8100.
