Frank Casaleno of New Jersey waves to a child as he portrays Santa at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall in 2019.

Covid-19 travel restrictions won’t stop Santa from visiting some local malls, although he will be wearing a mask and keeping his distance.

Other shopping centers will offer virtual visits with the jolly old elf.

Plan your in-person or online visit with Santa at these locations:

• Westmoreland Mall: Santa and his team of elves will be stationed in the lower level center court Nov. 27-Dec. 24. While kids will be able to talk with Santa, visits will be contactless from 6 feet away to ensure proper social distancing.

Santa will be available for photos from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, noon-6 p.m. Sundays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 24. The set will be closed Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.

Guests must schedule visits and purchase photo packages using the online reservation platform. Walk-ups will be allowed during the first and last hours of the day, time permitting. All visitors must wear masks before, during and after photos.

Other holiday events, including the Santa arrival party, pet photos and Santa Cares, are canceled this year.

• The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills: Online visits with Santa can be scheduled on the mall website. A Holiday Traditions Gift Box is available, including a special Christmas cookie recipe, caroling kit, Christmas book, Christmas tree, reindeer snacks and a gift.

• The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon: Santa will be on the scene Nov. 21-Dec. 24, except on Thanksgiving Day. Photos will be available.

Times are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and noon-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Sundays.

Masks are required and everyone will need to stand “two elves apart to practice social distancing.” Reservations are recommended.

• The Mall at Robinson: Santa will meet with children and families Nov. 27-Dec. 24 in a contactless experience that includes a newly designed custom sleigh. Photos will be available.

Reservations are strongly encouraged; walk-up visits will be available throughout the day as space allows. Social distancing and face masks will be required for everyone, and enhanced cleaning will be done between visits.
