An Ambridge police officer used a Taser on a 14-year-old boy as a fight broke out after a high school football game Friday night, the Trib’s news partner, WPXI-TV, reported.

The boy suffered a broken jaw and injuries to his face after falling to the pavement, the station reported.

According to WPXI, police said a crowd had gathered three blocks away from the high school and a fight was breaking out. Someone in the crowd shouted “He’s got a gun,” and pointed at the 14-year-old, who started running.

An officer used the Taser when the boy continued running after being ordered to stop and show his hands.

Ambridge police could not be reached Tuesday for more details.
