Police: Burglars took cigarettes from Butler County convenience store

State police said three masked burglars broke into the convenience store at Widenhofer Garage and stole numerous packs of cigarettes on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

State police are investigating a burglary at a Butler County convenience store.

State police responded shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday to alarms at Widenhofer Garage on Route 422 in Summit Township.

Police determined that three people wearing black hooded sweatshirts, gloves and masks entered the store by forcing through a locked door. They took numerous packs of cigarettes from behind a counter and fled.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police in Butler at 724-284-8100.
