The Pittsburgh Film Office has a proposition for aspiring college filmmakers: Pitch-Burgh.
The film office will host Pitch-Burgh from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, at Point Park University’s George Rowland White Theatre in the University Center, Downtown. Those planning to attend must register online by Wednesday.
The event is a new initiative from the Pittsburgh Film Office. The Pittsburgh Film and Media Educators Group will provide a forum for students studying film, media, drama and other areas related to the industry to network and pitch their project concepts to their peers.
Pitches are limited to one per student.
“This event is a great way for our students to network with an even larger group of student artists in the Pittsburgh area,” said Cara Friez, chair of cinema arts at Point Park University. “Our hope is that this event and others like it will allow our students more opportunities to collaborate on a variety of projects across the different universities.”
