Crews continued to douse the flames at 5:30 a.m., with no injuries reported in the two-alarm blaze, according to a county 911 dispatch supervisor.
TribLive news partner WTAE reported firefighters said the structure is thought to be a total loss and were fighting the flames defensively, from the exterior of the building.
According to the restaurant’s website, the restaurant is housed in a tavern that has been on the site since the 1800s. A holiday celebration was planned at the venue for Dec. 16.

A Clairton family lost its home and pets in a fire that broke out early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched at about 4:30 a.m. to the scene in the 200 block of North Fourth Street, according to an Allegheny County 911 supervisor.
The home where the fire started is considered a total loss, according to Kelsea Parsons, a lieutenant with the Clairton Fire Department. She said the residents were able to escape safely, but their pet dogs perished in the fire.
There was smoke and water damage to an adjacent home, Parsons said.
