Burglar targets West Homestead store
West Homestead police said a burglary occurred early Monday at a convenience store along West Run Road in the borough.
Police told TribLive news partner WTAE that a man in a face shield burglarized the Coen Market at about 3:30 a.m.
The suspect wore gloves and New Balance shoes and left behind a pry bar and hammer, according to the report.

Wible Run Road open
Two roads were closed and traffic restricted on a third because of water main breaks Tuesday morning in Shaler.
Township police reported a water main break has limited the 1100 block of William Flynn Highway to a single lane for both northbound and southbound traffic near the former Glenshaw Glass plant.
WTAE Water main break issues caused trouble for commuters in Shaler early Tuesday morning.Another break on Wible Run Road closed a portion of that road between Soose and Lower Marzolf roads, with residents on Scobbo Drive having limited access from the lower end of Wible. It has since been reopened to traffic.
Also closed was Perry Street, off Friday Road.
Hampton Shaler Water Authority said it has isolated the three breaks, but some residents and businesses will be without water service for an undermined amount of time, according to Shaler police Chief J. Sean Frank.
South Side patrol leads to 6 weekend arrests
Pittsburgh police made six arrests during South Side Entertainment Patrol efforts Thursday through Sunday.
Of three arrests for simple assault, one was domestic-related and also involved a theft charge; another involved a charge of terroristic threats; a third included charges for simple assault, carrying a firearm without a license and vehicle violations.
Two arrests were made for marijuana possession.
Police also completed six tows and six traffic stops and issued five traffic citations, 40 parking citations and 16 non-traffic citations.
Most of the latter citations were for disorderly conduct, public urination, open container violations or smoking marijuana in public.
