An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy will face charges after state police said they fired water-filled beads at people in Washington County on Friday night.

State police said the 18-year-old, of Claysville, was driving the car in which the 15-year-old, of Washington, was a back seat passenger. Their names were not released.

According to police, troopers went to a Burger King on West Chestnut Street in North Franklin Township for a report of Orbeez beads being fired at the workers.

Orbeez are water beads that, according to a product description from retailer Target, are seen in TikTok challenges and “oddly satisfying videos.”

The Burger King manager and a drive-thru worker were hit in the arm, face and back, police said. The car fled into Washington.

About a half hour later, state police said they got a call about the same car being at Wild Things Park, where the beads were being shot at people in the parking lot. Police found the car and detained those inside it.

Police said the 15-year-old was the shooter at Burger King while the driver had been the shooter at the stadium. After being taken into custody, they were both released to their parents.

Police said both will be charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and propulsion of missiles. The 15-year-old will be charged as a juvenile.
