A Florida man who police said was high on meth and hadn’t slept for five days led state troopers on a brief chase Friday night in Indiana County.

Brandon Michael Rosenberger, 34, of St. Petersburg, Fla., is charged with fleeing, evading arrest, and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

He is being held in Indiana County jail on $50,000 bond.

According to the state police, a trooper working an IUPatty’s detail Friday night spotted a red Pontiac sedan speeding on Philadelphia Street in Indiana Borough.

The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, which reached speeds higher than 90 mph, and a chase ensued.

Police said Rosenberger stopped the car on Church Street, got out and ran. Troopers caught up to him and took him into custody after deploying a Taser.

According to the state police, they learned Rosenberger was under the influence of methampethamine and was believed to have been awake for five days.
