An Indiana man was arrested Thursday after allegedly sending a threatening video to a Homer-Center student in which he was seen wielding a shotgun and indicating he was arriving at Homer-Center School District, state police at Indiana said.

The suspect, Spencer T. Baker, 18, is accused of sending the video on Snapchat in which he threatened to harm the school district, police said.

Several students at Homer-City Junior/Senior High School in Homer City reported to the school principal at 8:45 a.m. Thursday that they knew about the threatening video.

Baker was later identified as the person in the video, police said.

Upon receiving this information, Homer-Center School District security officers instituted an enhanced exterior security presence and the incident was reported to the state police.

State police at Indiana located Baker at his residence and took him into custody without incident, police said.

Baker was charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and arraigned before Homer City District Judge Susanne Steffee. He was placed in the Indiana County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for Sept. 19.

Anonymous reports of threatening or suspicious activity may be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week, via the Safe2SaySomething program, police said.
