The Greensburg Catholic Diocese is launching a marketing and recruitment drive for its 13 Catholic schools at church Masses next week.
The kickoff, scheduled to begin in advance of enrollment open houses at schools in Armstrong, Fayette, Indiana and Westmoreland counties, will feature students, parents, teachers and staff members at masses across the diocese Jan. 25 and 26.
The campaign to promote enrollment in the diocese’s two junior-senior high schools and 11 elementary schools follows a push to raise scholarship funds from tax credits that had raised $800,000 as of July 1 and is expected to net more than $1 million for scholarships for the coming school year.
Schools hosting open houses include:
• Greensburg Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School (grades 7 to 12), 6 to 7:30 p.m., March 26
• Geibel Catholic Junior-Senior High School (grades 7 to 12), Connellsville, 12:30 to 2 p.m., March 10
• Aquinas Academy (pre-K to 6), Greensburg, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 17
• Christ the Divine Teacher School (pre-K to 8), Latrobe, 1 to 3 p.m., Feb. 10
• Conn-Area Catholic School (pre-K to 6), Connellsville, on the campus with Geibel Catholic, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 10
• Mary Queen of Apostles School (pre-K to 8), New Kensington, 12:30 to 2 p.m., March 3
• Mother of Sorrows School (pre-K to 8), Murrysville 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 27
• Queen of Angels Catholic School (pre-K to 8), North Huntingdon, 2 to 3:30 p.m., Feb. 24
• St. Bernard Regional School ((pre-K to 8), Indiana, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 17
