Former President Obama to campaign for Harris in Pittsburgh
Former President Barack Obama is scheduled to campaign in the Pittsburgh area on Oct. 10 for Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.
Obama’s appearance is part of a nationwide swing through the battleground states leading up to the Nov. 5 election, according to a Harris campaign official.
The Harris campaign did not specify where Obama will appear or what time on Oct. 10 that he will make a campaign stop. Obama will go the other battleground states in the final weeks of the campaign for the White House.
Both Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump have campaigned extensively in Pennsylvania over the past two months. They are attempting to win the popular vote in the state and the prize of its 19 Electoral College votes.
Trump is returning Saturday to the Butler Farm Show grounds in Butler Township for a rally at the same site where he was grazed by a bullet in an assassination attempt July 13.
An Emerson College Polling/RealClearPennsylvania survey from the last week in September found that the race was evenly split with both candidates getting support from 48% of those polled, with just 1.8% of the voters undecided and another 1.8% favoring some other candidate.
