Uniontown firefighters battled blazes at more than one house in Uniontown late Friday night, a Fayette County 911 supervisor said.
The fire was reported at 336 E. Main St., at about 9:20 p.m.
The 911 supervisor said that city police said multiple buildings were on fire. The initial report from the scene was that one building was on fire, the supervisor said.
Police called the fires suspicious, according to WPXI-TV, the Tribune-Review’s news partner. The television station reported fires in two houses and that police are searching for a man believed responsible.
A spokesman for the Uniontown fire department could not be reached for comment.
