Duquesne administrator named to state's Judicial Conduct Board
A Duquesne University administrator has been named to Pennsylvania’s Judicial Conduct Board.
A spokesman for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court said the court has appointed the Rev. James P. McCloskey to a four-year term on the 12-member board. McCloskey is a senior adviserto Duquesne University President Ken Gormley.
The Judicial Conduct Board, an independent panel with six members appointed by the Supreme Court and six by the governor, consists of three judges, three lawyers and three lay members. The unpaid panel investigates and weighs complaints against judges in Pennsylvania.
McCloskey served in a variety of leadership and teaching positions with Holy Ghost Preparatory School, Bensalem; Congregation of the Holy Spirit, in Pittsburgh and in Rome ; and Duquesne University. He also served in pastoral roles with St. Mark the Evangelist Church, New York City; Duquesne University; and the Diocese of San Pedro, Paraguay.
McCloskey currently serves on the board of directors of the Thea Bowman Foundation and is a member of the International Commission for Safeguarding, Congregation of the Holy Spirit, Rome.
