A White Township man and former assistant district attorney has announced that he will seek the Republican nomination for Indiana County District Attorney.
Bob Manzi, 41, works as a partner at Indiana law firm Holsinger, Clark and Armstrong, P.C.
An Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Widener School of Law graduate, he has spent the last 20 years working in and around the criminal justice system as not only as a prosecutor but also as an at-risk youth counselor, college professor and in private practice.
“Small town communities are special. Families, like ours, choose to raise their families in communities like Indiana County for that special sense of feeling at home,” Manzi said. “From our schools and outdoor recreation to our community pride and partnership, we support our friends and neighbors each and every day.
“The biggest threat to the quality of life we hold dear is a breakdown in the safety of our community.”
Manzi also has served as a board member of the Indiana County YMCA, the Care Center for Indiana County, the IRMC Healthcare Foundation, the Western Pennsylvania Veteran’s Relief Fund and as a Little League baseball coach.
He lives with his wife, Amy, their son, Charlie, and daughter, Liliana.
