Amber Alert issued for 4-year-old West Virginia girl

West Virginia State Police issued an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old girl last seen in Fairmont who authorities say may be in extreme danger.

Gracelynn June Scritchfield is believed to have been abducted by her biological father, who was driving a gold 2001 Subaru Forester with West Virginia license plate 1TH163.

The girl was last seen around midnight on July 9, according to the alert.

Their destination is unknown. Fairmont is about 90 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Gracelynn is white with brown/blonde hair, 3 feet tall and weighs 35 pounds. She was wearing summer clothing when last seen, but investigators do not have additional details about her attire.

The suspect is Arlie Edward “Trey” Hetrick III, 24. He is white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

The Nicholas County Division of Homeland Security and Emergency reported that the girl was last seen in Fairmont at 785 Husky Highway and is believed to be in extreme danger.

Anyone with information about the missing girl is asked to call West Virginia State Police at 304-367-2850.
