Allegheny County Police seek arsonist suspected of setting 14 fires in Munhall, West Homestead and Homestead

An as-yet unidentified man is considered to a suspect in connection with a string of 14 arsons in Munhall, West Homestead and Homestead since April 23, Allegheny County Police said late Friday night.

Police have identified a man as the suspect from a July 2 fire in Homestead. Most of the fires have been started in trash and dumpsters, but one vacant structure has been an arson, police said.

County police are requesting assistance from the public to identify the individual.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477). Callers can remain anonymous. The department can also be reached via its social media sites.
