Four companies in Allegheny County have been named among the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania.

Ryan LLC, a consulting firm in Downtown Pittsburgh; Total Quality Logistics, a logistics firm located in Kennedy Township; Maher Duessel, an accounting firm on Pittsburgh’s North Shore; and KU Resources, Inc., an environmental consultant in Duquesne all made the list, which is made up of companies from across the state.

“As president and managing partner, we’re honored to be included in the top 100 of best places to work in PA, especially because we know employee surveys are such a large part in enabling us to make that list,” said Betsy Krisher of Maher Duessel. “We try very hard as a partner group to make Maher Duessel a place where people can drive and be their best self.”

The list is determined by Team Pennsylvania, a non-partisan, nonprofit group that works to connect leaders in private and public sectors to achieve and sustain progress across the state, along with the Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal.

This year’s list is represented by 43 small, 30 medium and 27 large companies.

No companies were named to the list from Westmoreland County, but three — Concurrent Technologies Corp., 1st Summit Bank, and Wessel & Company — were named from the Johnstown area.

WebFX, an internet marketing service in Harrisburg; Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz, accountant and business advisers in Camp Hill and Faulkner Subaru, Harrisburg were named Pennsylvania’s large, medium and small-sized best places to work, respectively.

That’s the second consecutive year Faulkner Subaru, Harrisburg won the top spot.

Companies who won the designation were notified in September. An official reveal took place virtually Thursday night.

Companies across the state have been earning the designation for more than 20 years.

Officials with local companies were not immediately available for comment.

A full list of winners can be found on the Team Pennsylvania website by going to teampa.com and searching for best places to work.

“Pennsylvania’s workforce has faced challenges like no other year in living memory,” said Ryan C. Unger, president and CEO of Team Pennsylvania. “The companies … are helping maintain Pennsylvania’s economic vitality by not only facing these obstacles, but surmounting them. We are grateful for their leadership and congratulate them.”
