After cloudy morning, storms expected Sunday afternoon
A partly cloudy morning is expected to give way to rain on Sunday afternoon across western Pennsylvania.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely to hit the region around 3 p.m. Sunday, bringing between one-quarter-inch and one-half-inch of rain, according to the National Weather Service in Moon.
Temperatures are expected to rise to 78 degrees in the afternoon. The showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue tonight until about 10 p.m.
Memorial Day is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 77 degrees, making it ideal weather the Memorial Day observances and parades around Western Pennsylvania.
A storm complex continues to parade across eastern OH with gusty winds and periodic lightning. Chances are increasing that these storms reach #Pittsburgh in the next two hours, but these storms should weaken enough to minimize impacts. #PAwx #OHwx pic.twitter.com/n5h0B4OGqT
