Two women died in a crash Monday in Plumcreek Township, according to Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers.

State police on Tuesday identified the women as Lacy L. Gohn, 41, and Marasco Sonza, 70. Where they lived was not disclosed.

The crash happened around noon on State Route 210 just north of Route 422.

State police said Sonza and Gohn were in a car together, but did not say who was driving.

According to police, they were turning left from the northbound lane of Route 210 into a private driveway when their car collided at the base of the driveway with a southbound SUV driven by Donna A. Crissman, 51, whose hometown was also not released.

Sonza and Gohn were not wearing seat belts, Myers said. Gohn was thrown from the car and died at the scene; Sonza died while being taken to a hospital, police said.

Crissman was taken to a hospital by helicopter. No information on her injuries was released.

State police said the crash remains under investigation.
