One person was killed and three were injured in a crash Tuesday in Fayette County, according to state police.

The driver of a Kia Forte crossed over the center line of New Salem Road in Menallen around 7:30 p.m. and slammed into another vehicle, troopers said. The driver of the Kia Forte was killed. Police did not identify that person in a news release.

Two passengers, ages 5 and 7, were hurt. The driver of the other vehicle also was injured.
