Rankin man charged with sexually assaulting multiple children
Allegheny County Police on Tuesday afternoon arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting multiple children and babies.
According to a news release, 27-year-old Devaughante J. Law Sr., of Rankin, was arrested under the suspicion of performing sexual acts against “numerous children, toddlers and infants.”
Police said Law also recorded himself committing the crimes and shared images and videos with others.
Law was charged with, among other charges, multiple counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, rape, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, corruption of a minor, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Some of the alleged victims have yet to be identified and authorities say there may be more child victims involved. The alleged victims may require medical assistance and/or social services, according to the release.
Other charges may still be pending, as police are continuing to investigate.
Detectives are requesting the public’s help in identifying other children who have had contact with Law in the past, the release said.
