Inbound lanes of Route 28 in Pittsburgh were closed Sunday morning, July 30, after a crash.

Part of Route 28 in Pittsburgh reopened Sunday after being shut down for several hours following a crash.

The inbound lanes of the highway were affected during the closure between the exits for the 31st Street Bridge and I-579, according to PennDOT.

Video of the scene from Tribune-Review news partner WTAE-TV showed a car with its rear end on top of the median and at least one other wrecked vehicle nearby. The crash happened around 6 a.m. Officials told the news outlet that two people were taken to a hospital.
