A woman was rescued Thursday after her car careened over a hillside in Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said Pittsburgh emergency responders were dispatched to the 2800 block of Patterson Street around 1 p.m.

They saw a car on the wooded hillside between Patterson and Josephine streets.

Matthews said the woman was freed from inside the car and carried to a waiting ambulance, then transported to a hospital in stable condition with minor injuries. There was no one else in the car.

The investigation into what happened is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
