Allegheny County Police are asking for help identifying a man who was at the scene of a stabbing last month in Homestead.

Investigators did not call the man a suspect.

Police want to speak to him in connection with a July 24 stabbing inside the EON Bar and Grill on East Eighth Avenue.

Police were called just after midnight for a report of the stabbing at the bar, police said. First responders transported a 33-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen to the hospital. Homestead Police requested the assistance of Allegheny County Police.

Detectives reviewed security footage and noted a person leaving the bar immediately after the stabbing, police said. Investigators are asking for help identifying the person.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
