Allegheny County Police say a North Versailles man shot another man in the stomach after an argument in Duquesne earlier this month.
Police on Wednesday issued a warrant for Tarone Jones, 39, on charges of attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
The shooting was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. May 3 at the intersection of Grant Street and Route 837.
Duquesne police officers and paramedics dispatched to the intersection found the man shot once in the stomach, according to police. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition at the time.
Police said it appears the man was driving his SUV and stopped at a traffic light.
According to police, the man exited his SUV and walked over to a dark color sedan, which was occupied by a man and woman. An argument started and the man driving of the sedan shot the victim, detectives said. The sedan fled the area in the direction of Homestead.
Jones is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 255 pounds.
