FBI agents and the Pittsburgh police are searching for a gun that was inside a vehicle owned by the FBI that was stolen Tuesday, officials said.

An FBI vehicle was stolen from Schenley Park around 1:30 p.m., said FBI Pittsburgh spokeswoman Catherine Policicchio. Inside was a Glock 19M 9mm.

Following the incident, the FBI and Pittsburgh police notified all area law enforcement agencies of the theft.

According to Policicchio, officials are “devoting significant resources to locate the weapon and remove it from the possession of the untrained” person or people who may have it.

Anyone with information regarding the incident are asked to call FBI Pittsburgh at 412-432-4000.
