A Pittsburgh man was arrested after police said he threatened a woman with a gun in the city’s Allegheny East neighborhood.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Howard Street for a reported gun threat around 10:50 p.m. Monday, according to a police report.

Police said a woman told them she had been at East North Avenue at Howard Street when two men dressed in all black clothing approached her vehicle. One of them pointed a firearm at her, and she said she fled up Howard and hid in the woods, police said.

Police said they received at least two similar complaints around the same time.

Police said they saw two young men matching the descriptions provided by witnesses walking on East North Avenue at Middle Street around 11:09 p.m. Officers detained them and discovered one of the men had two loaded handguns. The second did not have firearms on him.

The man found with two firearms had a valid concealed carry permit and both firearms were registered to him, according to police.

After consulting with the District Attorney’s office, police said they arrested Qyere Russell-Bradley, 21, of Pittsburgh. He was charged with simple assault and taken to Allegheny County Jail.

The other man was released at the scene.
