Officers investigating reported bank robbery in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood
Pittsburgh police and the FBI are investigating a reported bank robbery in the city’s Brookline neighborhood, officials said.
Crews responded to the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard around 2:20 p.m. Monday.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokeswoman Cara Cruz, when officers arrived they learned a man handed the bank teller a note saying he wanted money.
The unidentified man allegedly threatened a weapon, but one was not seen.
It was not immediately clear if he took any money. He fled the bank in an unknown direction.
The investigation is ongoing.
