Pittsburgh police said an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to a man arriving on his own at a hospital Sunday morning with multiple gunshot wounds.

The unidentified adult man presented himself at the hospital at about 6:20 a.m. and was listed in critical condition, police said.

According to a city news release, police said the man’s wounds are suspected to be related to an earlier report of shots that were fired in the area of Sterrett Avenue and Frankstown Avenue in Homewood.
