Police arrest 3 people for alleged involvement in Green Tree shooting
Allegheny County Police have arrested three people in connection with a Monday night shooting in Green Tree.
Scottie Harris, 21, Jamere Blackwell, 20, and Sequawon Harris, 22, have all been charged with criminal attempt homicide and related charges for allegedly attempting to rob a man around 8:15 p.m. along the 1100 block of Greentree Road.
County police said callers reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area that evening.
Borough officers found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in his right arm and was bleeding profusely. The victim was transported to a hospital and is expected to recovery, police said.
Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Unity Presbyterian Church along Greentree Road, and the suspects involved had fled the scene, possibly on foot.
Several neighboring police departments assisted in the search.
County police said the suspects unsuccessfully attempted to rob the man of his vehicle, and he has no affiliation to the church. The victim may have been set up by the suspects, police said.
The men were apprehended and taken to the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh to await preliminary arraignment.
All three suspects also are charged with aggravated assault, robbery of a motor vehicle, recklessly endangering another person, criminal conspiracy and firearms violations.
