The U.S. Postal Service in Plum has reopened after directing all business to a Monroeville post office location six months ago.

The building closed in September after sustaining damage to its roof.

Tad Kelley, a U.S. Postal Service spokesman for Western Pennsylvania, said the building got a new roof and ceiling tiles, a new awning and interior paint, among other repairs.

Kelley declined to explain the cause of the damage.

He said the building is still under the same ownership. Allegheny County real estate records list Michael Litman as the owner, who was not immediately available for comment.

The post office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
