Oakmont bridge down to single lane for cleaning
A bridge in Oakmont will be restricted to one lane for 19 days for emergency cleaning operations, PennDOT said Wednesday.
Crews from Michael Facchiano will clean under the Plum Street bridge over Plum Creek in Oakmont. The road will be restricted to a single lane weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Aug. 19.
Steve Cowan, a PennDOT spokesman, said the project comes after major flooding that hit the area and left “debris and deposition.”
PennDOT urged drivers to be careful when traveling through the area.
