The American Legion Auxiliary Post 980 is hosting its third Craft Show Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18.

The craft show will be the first big event for the auxiliary since it canceled multiple fundraising events last year. The free event will be held indoors and outdoors at the auxiliary’s post, 7824 Saltsburg Road.

“We are so excited about it,” said Debbie Fox, member and second vice president of Auxiliary Post 980.

More than 40 crafters, artisans and vendors will be present at the event selling various items, such as baby products, jewelery, essential oils, homemade pierogies, artwork and more.

Attendees can also treat themselves to the baked goods auxiliary members will bring for their bake sale. Crafters will donate items to the Chinese auction being held to help raise funds.

In addition to shopping, attendees can help themselves to the food at the event including an ice cream truck, pretzel bites, grilled hot dogs and burgers, and more.

“It will definitely be a fun day,” Fox said.

To make room outside for crafters and vendors, Fox said, attendees can park at the nearby S&T Bank at 7660 Saltsburg Road. Free shuttle buses will be running every 10 minutes to transport people to and from the auxiliary’s post.

Fox said there is no set goal for the fundraiser, but proceeds from the show will be donated to military personnel, the community and the local post.

“We are just happy to be able to do this,” she said.
