A 30-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Homewood South neighborhood Saturday night, officials said.

Crews responded to Frankstown Avenue and Sterrett Street around 10 p.m. and found the woman unconscious in the street, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokeswoman Cara Cruz. The woman was taken to the hospital.

According to Cruz, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene in a black or dark blue pickup truck.

The city’s Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police headquarters at 412-323-7800.
