Pittsburgh police in the city’s Zone 3 said they plan to use survey results to improve relations with residents.
Starting Monday, police in Zone 3 will launch a trial of AXON My90, a program that uses brief surveys to allow community members to provide feedback on police interactions.
“The anonymous survey results will be used to identify areas of improvement and increase community engagement and relationships across the board,” police spokeswoman Amanda Mueller said in a statement.
Residents will receive a text link for a survey following calls for service or police interaction, such as a hit-and-run, suspicious vehicle, parking complaints, loud music and more.
The surveys are optional and anonymous, Mueller said.
The program will start exclusively in Zone 3, which includes South Side and neighboring communities. To find out whether you live in Zone 3, check out this map: https://pittsburghpa.gov/police/police-zone-maps.
