Pittsburgh Police are investigating three armed robberies that happened over about three hours Tuesday night.

Police said the robberies appear to be related.

The first reported robbery happened around 9 p.m. at the Family Dollar store on Lincoln Avenue in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV.

Police said two men held cashiers at gunpoint, demanded money and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a second armed robbery just before 11 p.m. at a pizza eatery on Penn Avenue.

Police said two males entered the business and displayed a weapon, demanded money and fired a shot into the floor.

An employee was injured from a bullet fragment and treated for minor injuries, police said.

In the third reported robbery, police said two people entered the Brooklyn Food Mart on Lincoln Avenue just after midnight, WPXI reported.

They held an employee there at gunpoint and demanded money from them, as well as money from the cash register, according to authorities.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pittsburgh Police in Zone 5 at 412-665-3605.
