Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday near a youth football game in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood.

There were no reports of injuries from the incident in the 1400 block of Oberlin Street, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV. A bullet struck the windshield of a nearby truck, police said.

Dozens of children were at the field when the gunfire happened at about 2:30 p.m., Lincoln Youth Sports head coach Aaron Strader said.

Strader posted his frustration on social media, saying the youth organization requested city police presence and also hired three extra security guards.

“Our goal is to serve these children who live in less than ideal environments,” Strader wrote.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials could not be reached for comment.

Later Sunday, a man was shot to death in the same neighborhood. Police responded to the 7100 block of Everton Street and found the victim in a stairwell of an apartment building.
