A child was struck by a vehicle after running out onto a street in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Washington neighborhood.

Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said officers were told a girl ran from between two parked cars along the 200 block of Grandview Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday.

A vehicle made minor contact with the victim, and the driver remained on the scene, Matthews said.

The girl was transported to a hospital to be evaluated. She was listed in stable condition.

No further information about the incident was released.
